A week at Grandma & Grandpas

Since Alexis is out of school I took the kids to my parents house. We spent a couple of night's at my Brothers house in Richfield, 2 night's at my parents and 2 nights in the cabin by my parents house. It rained almost the entire time...but we still had fun hanging out!

Thatchers room

So, a few days ago I had put the twins to bed and then went outside to get Lexi. She was getting a drink out of the hose and I told her it was time to come in. Well, she forgot to turn off the hose and she laid it down right by Thatchers window well. Thatcher was asleep and didn't hear the water coming into his room. So, a few hours later I went to check on the kids before I went to bed and as soon as I walked into Thatchers room I walked into slush! His room was completely flooded! We had to pump the rest of the water out of his window well and we were up until 3 in the morning steam-cleaning the water out of the carpet and the pad underneath. It was a huge mess!!! So, since we had to move everything out of his room I took the opportunity to paint and re-arrange his room!

Mother's Day

So, Ryan took the kids shopping and had them each choose a gift for me. Thatcher chose a fish tank, Alexis got me hairspray, Taylor got me a bug cage so that she could catch Lady bugs for me and Ryan got a table/Umbrella so I can hang out in the shade now that it is getting hot!

Panzanella

My sister in law Erika gave me this recipe. It is a great summer meal. Lexi loves the make this and all the kids love to eat it!
French baguette ( You can get them in a 2 pack at Costco)
English cucumber thinly sliced
tomatoes
fresh mozerrella ( Not the shredded kind, but the kind that comes in balls @ Costco and you can cut it into pieces)
Cut the bread into 1" squares and put in a pan and drizzle with olive oil and broil in the oven until toasted
Put the toasted bread, cucumbers, tomatoes & cheese in a big bowl and drizzle dressing on top ( 1/2 cup olive oil and 1/4 cup red wine vinegar)
